CrossTies Ministry has been online since the early 1990’s and has served thousands of Bible students, ministers, and Bible class teachers.  CrossTies is part of the personal ministry of Dr. Bill Denton.

Bill grew up in a small town in north Mississippi.  After serving almost eight years in the U.S. Air Force he attended the Whites Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies in West Monroe, LA.  Over the next several years Bill completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies, a Masters Degree in Bible Theology, and the Doctor of Ministry Degree with an emphasis in Counseling and Family Studies.  Bill is also a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Advanced Certification.

He has served as preaching minister for more than 30 years, serving churches in Mississippi, Kansas, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida.  He served as adjunct professor of Bible and Counseling with the Bear Valley Bible Instititue of Denver (CO.), and adjunct professor of Bible with the Sunset International Bible Institute’s Foreign Development Team, teaching Bible at the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University in Zheleznogorsk, Siberia, and at the Athens Bible Institute, Athens, Greece.  He is a preacher, teacher, writer, radio speaker and trainer.

Bill’s articles have been published in religious journals and papers, and in secular magazines, and newspapers.  His perceptive style of penetrating into real-life problems motivates people to learn and apply biblical teaching to daily living.

Bill’s spiritual and religious background is rooted in non-denominational Christianity, specifically among churches of Christ.  He is a strong believer in the principles of the American Restoration Movement, which includes, among other things, that believers should be Christians only, that the Bible is the final source for faith and worship, that we should unite on essentials, grant room for variation of opinions in non-essentials, and love each other in all things.
